Just wanted to share this easel card I made. It was made during a recent Copics colouring class at Grimsby Crafts tutored by the lovely and very talented Kate.
I am not really into colouring images and not been very successful with alcohol pens, but eager to learn. Can I just add that I'm not really into making cards either!
Anyway off I went to the class with the thought that maybe I will make my Christmas cards this year as I have been collecting a few Christmassy stamps that I would like to colour and use as toppers.
Well half way through the class I was losing my enthusiasm and thinking noooo this is not for me, I am not enjoying this and my colouring is looking awful!!! Just don't get how people find this relaxing and addictive! I was getting more and more frustrated with myself.
Kate offered words of encouragement and, giving me tips, I carried on and persevered with 'the blending' to this result.......
'It's a Bag Thing'.....it was the shading of the background that was giving me all the trouble..... But then as it started to blend out I began to like it.
I came away from the class .... not only pleased with the coloured image but thought the card was pretty neat too.
I don't see myself getting addicted to colouring but will certainly have a go at some Christmas cards!!!
Thank you so much Kate for your patience and also a big thank you to Debbie who very kindly shared her Copics with me.
Hi Jax...told you, you could do it. Your colouring and blending are perfect and your card is gorgeous. Your welcome to use my Copics anytime. xx
ReplyDeleteah Jax it looks brilliant so soft and gentle around the edges and I am so pleased you persevered with it, it is all in the practicing and relaxing, thrilled you joined me and hope to see more of your colouring too :)
